“Christ To Me Is So Subjective”, Laura Miller

Philippians 3:10 says, “To know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death.” As a young Christian, this verse was mysterious to me and I never thought I would understand it or experience the truth it contained. I grew up in a Christian family and was surrounded by Christian friends, but I didn't know Christ in a personal way and I didn't know how to experience Him in my daily living.

By the Lord's mercy, I had the opportunity to enter the Full-Time Training in Anaheim (FTTA) in February 2002. Since then, I have begun to know Christ and enjoy Him in a personal and affectionate way. He has become a subjective Christ, a living Person inside of me. The ministry of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee has been a tremendous help to me in my pursuit of the Lord here in the FTTA. Through the classes in the Training, I am learning how to enjoy Christ and live by Him.

Everything that Christ accomplished, His death, resurrection and ascension, are becoming my experience. My life is not my own and I cannot live apart from Him (John 15:5). Philippians 3:10 is no longer a mystery to me. In my daily life I can know Him, know the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings. I am also being conformed to His death. The more I know Him, the more I enjoy Him and experience Him.

I can only thank and praise the Lord for bringing me to the FTTA to absorb all the unsearchable riches of Christ (Ephesians 3:8). I am also eternally grateful for the ministry of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee. They were faithful their whole lives to speak the truth about Christ revealed in the Bible. Their ministry has led me into a sweeter, closer relationship with the Lord. These two brothers have poured out everything they had on the Lord, just as Mary did in Matthew 26:7. I am inspired by their expression of Christ and encouraged by their living to do the same.
